About Michael Feger

I’m a Volunteer, Webmaster, and Graphic Designer!

MFPF-Logo-300I’ve always been interested in cars, computers, and technology. I started learning Photoshop and HTML around 1997. After graduating from high school in 1999, I enrolled in a Graphic Design degree program. I built my first full-featured website in 2000.

On May 9th, 2002, I was following the car club I belonged to (Low Measures) to a car show when I had a wreck. It damaged my spinal cord at C3, C4, and C5, leading to paralysis from the neck down (Incomplete Tetraplegia). During rehab, I relearned how to use a computer with a head-controlled mouse. After I left the hospital, I started volunteering and building websites.

Since my spinal cord injury, I have volunteered to build several websites for non-profit organizations. I have received several awards and special mentions for my volunteering efforts. I’m extremely honored to be a part of so many great organizations.

In 2010, my family and I established the Michael Feger Paralysis Foundation, fulfilling a long-held dream of mine since my injury. The Michael Feger Paralysis Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting people in Kentucky affected by spinal cord injury. Our mission is to raise awareness of spinal cord injury through education, support those impacted, and help them move toward a life of independence, health, and personal fulfillment.
